Grown men who watch children cartoons are pathetic

Nah.
Thinking animation is just for children is the sign of a complete and total retard. It's also a very America-centric view, which I'm sue is just a coincidence. Animation is a medium, just like live action and it's moronic to think that it's purely aimed at a certain demographic.
I read once that this mindset started with the advent of Saturday morning cartoons which were all aimed at the dumbest of children in order to sell toys. Prior to that, they'd play Disney cartoons, Looney Tunes, Popeye in front of movies at the cinema and the cinema was not aimed at children at the time. Not only that, but the artistry put into those shorts dwarfed whatever movie people were going to see.

That all disappeared when Americans realized that they could churn out cartoons super cheap and kids would still watch. American animation has never really been able to grow past this, which is why most "adult" animation just means characters standing in a room with no direction, delivering punchlines to each other.
There are some good stuff that still comes out and a lot of it has better writing than big modern dramas. Something Americans also can't seem to understand is that there is a difference between something being for kids and something being for all ages.
Peppa Pig is for kids, what ever examples you guys are thinking of is probably not.

I have posted this before but if this scene was in live action then today it would be talked about as one of the greatest scenes ever filmed. The direction, writing, animation and score here are all 10/10. All without a single word being spoken. But of course retards are just going to see that it's animated and dismiss it as being for kids, showcasing their own lack of brainpower.

I went into some detail in another thread about how the corporations, Disney in this example, also control what the public's perception is.

So in America Mickey Mouse will teach you how to spell but in Europe he's a hardboiled noir detective that solves murders. I'm sure stuff like that is part of why Americans think it's all for kids.

That sucked. Was not exciting or fun to watch whatsoever, in my humble yet correct opinion.

It's even worse when they try to justify it by saying "bro it's got ADULT JOKES in it!". That's because the guys making the damn cartoon were bored. It was for them, not you.
"RICK AND MORTY SAID FUCK AND CUNT!!"
"DEADPOOL MADE ANOTHER GAY ANAL FISTING JOKE WHILE DECAPITATING SOMEONE WOW SO MUCH BLOOD!!!"
"THE BOYS IS CAPESHIT, BUT NOT REALLY, IT IS COOL AND MAKES FUN OF CAPESHIT!!!"

At least that made them kinda entertaining though, the older ones at least. Me and da boys would smoke the ganja and watch that stuff. Shit like Ed, Edd & Eddy is still pretty fucking entertaining if you're a drunk and high teenager.

All the new cartoons just seem like dogshit made for redditors though. Bland, samey art styles and cringy, trying too hard humor. There's nothing creative about it, at least with the older stuff you get a sense that the guys making it had a lot of fun with it.

If you liked that you’ll love

I watched Watership Down as a lil kid and all I remember is being fawkin traumatized by it. It's the Bambi's mother scene stretched to feature length.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
