Great video game music

I think Tales of Phantasia (and all the Tales titles) have great soundtracks, but I always enjoyed this one.

Used to love wandering around the rainforest city while listening to this in Skies of Arcadia.

Ogre Battle 64 is one of my favorite games of all time and I just enjoy all the music. A lot of the themes are constant across all the Ogre Battle games so even if you haven’t played this one some of it may sound familiar.

I’m a simple man. I will always love the original Zelda theme.

The mid-2000s had some great fucking soundtracks in general. Seems like a golden age of creativity for video game composers in terms of the technology available, and studios giving them enough free reign. They must've had a blast making these tunes.

This was back when guys like Jeremy Soule and Jeff van Dyck pretty much became synonymous with franchises like the Elder Scrolls and Total War, with some nerds considering their score to be as essential as the fucking gameplay. The iterations that lacked them definitely did suffer for it.

The entire soundtrack is fantastic. I think the composer did Secret of Mana.
