Gen Con Predictions

We’ve seen how these conventions piggy has been involved with lately are really in shambles. They can’t even get well-known authors and have made it public the attendance is so bad they asked people to book multiple rooms they wouldn’t even use. I don’t know if the Gen Con schedule was shared here (it’s on KF) but it’s real short on guests with piggy having to do multiple panels that he has no business being on. Uncle Paul is even on panels!

So I wonder, will this be one of last Gen Cons? Is piggy so toxic that any event that uses him now only fails? Is the SFWA in financial trouble from the lol suit? Will he continue to be a fat faggot with bitch tits?

Thoughts? Concerns? E-Rock, Comment?

I feel like this event was a joke but it’s real - Pat is on a panel to give advice on how to use social media.

SFWAs financials are quite intriguing

My ex gf was a grant writer and fund developer for a non profit so I got to learn a bit about that world. Everything is public and you don’t even need to ask the government for the data.

Non profits use what is basically crm software to manage grant/donation applications from foundations , corporations and individuals. The software (there are a few of them and they’re either free or pretty cheap) buy all the data from the government so it’s current and comprehensive. Using that software one could theoretically look at sfwas full history of grants and donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Could also learn a lot about who does what in the organization with respect to handling money. You can get the info from the irs but it’s a massive pain in the ass I’m sure.

Most importantly, individuals, foundations (their board of directors), corporations etc who have given lots in the past will have their information on the software. They could then be alerted to how sfwa has used the funds and how they have consistently protected pedophiles.

I sure hope no little rascals ruin the weekend by tweeting the people attending pretending to be a certain stealthy geek and other silly stuff. I remember one of the cons one of us had tweeted that reports show Pat had stolen part of the hotel sign / ate the sign and I still laugh at that one.

PaT’s Tips for TwiTTer:

1. Be as abrasive as possible to potential book buyers. If necessary, be hostile.
2. Never show an ounce of gratitude when someone buys a book. Demand more purchases.
3. Humility when receiving praise for your writing is best avoided. Assume that praise is always warranted.
4. When receiving negative reviews or comments—and I can’t stress this enough—insult the intelligence of the reviewers, dismiss them as children, and accuse them of being trolls and possibly criminals. Threaten jail time.
