Leslie is 100% right, there’s nothing to brag about putting yourself over your kids. It’s actually disgusting to say “I could make more money to provide for my family but I’d rather do something that barely pays but makes me feel good about myself while my kids go without. I’m so great!”
I don’t have kids but I’ve been told when you have kids everything changes - now you’re no longer number 1 and you do everything for your children.

It's not even the debt, it's the behaviour that lead up to it.
If you owe $70K on your mortgage, but have a job that can pay for it, no problem.
If you have no job and $70k on credit cards - the worst kind of debt - then the odds of you fucking up enough to be blackmailed in future are pretty high.
Her public denial of it isn't good either; trying to hide shit you could be blackmailed over is another bad sign.
