Ask them for whatever case/serial number is used to identify this investigation; and then ask them whether they'll notify you when it's done or whether you should apply every week until they say yes. It's pretty easy to script up an email to do so.

The reason you want the Case ID is to stop them saying its under investigation indefinitely.
