Steve was showing up to work drugged out of his mind. Watermarking content that wasn’t his, doing no work behind the scenes, taking days off, and being a general pain in the ass. Don’t forget fucking with interns and writing emails to bosses for having the NERVE to make fun of his website. Or threatening to assault Danny or Sam which, to be fair, I totally get. Then Steve selling back content to O&A, etc.
You're definitely right. I remember a comment on the video where Anthony was essentially blaming Opie for Steve's suicide where he said that he was present at meetings with management where Opie would shit talk and lie about Steve C and other employees. One person wrote that Anthony was a big faggot for not standing up for Steve C and other people during these meetings and only 15 years after the fact when the cool thing is to hate on Opie is he bringing this shit up. If Opie is to blame for Steve C's suicide, than Anthony is equally responsible too.

I saw a similar comment that was basically that whatever Opie did, Anthony was equally responsible for being a coward about it. Anthony acted as if he were a guest on the show and not an equal half of it. He could have easily told Opie to stop making interns uncomfortable, or stuck up for Steve C, or really anything but he was too much of a coward to do so. People like Danny can say “BUT IF YOU TALKED TO OPIE HE WOULD BE PISSED AT YOU!” but who gives a fuck? You’re in a business relationship. What matters more: Saving a guys job who you don’t think deserves to be fired and who you think could improve the show? Or having that guy fired because you don’t want your coworker avoiding eye contact with you for a couple days. I’d say the former.
Keep in mind, because Anthony had no spine dealing with this shit ended up on Opies lap. It was not a partnership, Anthony just decided he was going to come in and be funny. Not deal with anything that might be difficult or put spaghetti on the wall.
I do indeed believe that both Opie and Anthony had nothing to do with Steve's suicide. What is bothersome though is that Anthony was strongely implying on a recent show that Opie was partially to blame for it which is a fucked up thing to do. Also the reasons he gave why Opie was to blame didn't make him look good. As @Suetonius said, he acted like he didn't have any power to go against Opie.
