Not only that, he likes their new stuff to the point he was upset they didn’t play MORE new songs from their current album that even the big fans have already forgotten. He can’t even go to a concert right, bands that have been around 20 plus years playing a lot of new songs is not what the fans want, they came for the hits but piggy says “No Foo child, please play more new songs!”
I’ll Stick Around, Generator and Rope are too esoteric for Pat. He needs that new shit that doesn’t cause any emotional response.

Honestly I think FF’s are the most perfect band possible for Pat to love. They probably have one album worth of good songs in their entire discography. The rest of it is as bland and generic and pointless as music can be. If music could be fat they’d be just like Pat.

There are some bands that the media and music industry just went against, and like sheep a lot of people went along with it. Limp Bizkit's first two albums are great, and anyone who disagrees is an elitist and potentially a pedophile.
I get it man, you still rock the chinstrap beard and your hairline hasn't receded so you still look pretty awesome with your hair spiked up, but people don't hate limp bizkit or nu-metal in general because of the music industry (maaaaaan). I don't even get the logic of a statement like that since they were all on mtv and their albums could be and were bought by the millions in any record store.

There was a big drop-off in their popularity between 2000 and even a short a time as 2003 or so. Fred Durst went from being cool to being the biggest douche in the universe within just a few short years (I think he fucked Britney and everyone got jealous maybe?). Now, you can say he was always a douche, but people did like him for a while.

Conspiracy time: I think there was a big move to shift towards more black/hispanic/ethnic i.e. anything non-white or less white in music after the 90s, and although they were part rap, Limp Bizkit was all white guys and Durst looks like an Aryan Nation guy, albeit a wigger. Kid Rock dropped in popularity, but he has a loyal contingency in the south and he's always been around even if he's dropped in relevancy. ICP, similar story: they were cool for a while, then they weren't, but had a loyal following. Linkin Park fucking stunk, but they did that EP with Jay Z in 2004 or so and they beat Alice In Chains for having the highest-selling EP in US history or something.

I'm tellin ya, compare their first two albums than the other cunts I mentioned, and tell me they're so much worse. They're not, and I'd wager that they were better in their prime.

Well if we're including alice in chains in the cunts you mentioned they're an extremely distant second. I get your point about culture being manipulated and manufactured, though to add another layer to the conspiracy I'd say limp bizkit owes their success to the same thing that killed the whole fad they were apart of, namely the push to get suburban white kids more into rap.

I'll be honest though, I've never listened to more than a handful of their greatest hits and just never really cared for them. Maybe I'll give the first two albums a try just to see if I see more what you're getting at.

I love AIC. They're the only grunge band that never really did anything shitty.

I'm not denying that. The 90s/2000 was all about pushing white people doing black things.

Years ago, a coworker and I played one of those albums ironically, and some songs in we were both like, "actually, this isn't bad at all". If you don't like that rap/rock stuff (and who does, really) you won't like it on that level, but you can't say they were bad at it. They don't take themselves seriously like the fags in Linkin Park did.
