There was such a difference in every single character in early Dragonball and the stories were very different too. When it just became a battle shounen, it felt like pretty much every character and arc were just facsimiles of each other.

Fawking HATED Mercenary Tao. Very satisfying to see Goku go back and kick his ass after Korin Tower.

I like that the Red Ribbon Army just always persists. The original long saga is definitely the best, but it was nice to see them in the movie last year.
