Frieza is a good one. He is a child-like psychopath. I only prefer cell because it takes all of them to win and his story arc where he becomes complete is cool, not even Gopoo can defeat him when he is perfect.

Cell saga has the perfect ending where it was the buildup to Gohan who we've watch grow from childhood to surpassing his father. The show should have ended, instead they made a Gohan a bitch with Saiyaman and power creeped the shit out of Buu forcing Goku back into the storyline for gay fanservice Vegito. Gotenks was even stronger than Gohan. Did they even look for dragon balls during Buu? I can't recall due to how shitty it was.
I do love that they retconned out Gogeta and SS4 by decannonizing shitty ass GT. But I'm guessing they probably brought it back with all the super blue faggot saiyan shit

I've actually only watched a couple of episodes of the anime but I've read the manga all the way through like 14 times. I kind of hate how retards only care about the latter 2/3rds, which is what the anime called DBZ, when the first third is so good and much more interesting.
If I had to pick a villain from DBZ then it would probably be Vegeta, before he became good. Of course we all know that Toriyama wanted to end it after the Frieza arc but was basically forced to continue by his editor and you can really tell that the quality drops with the Cell and Buu arcs.

They did to wish back the people Vegeta killed at the tournament. Goku also made sure Dende stayed safe throughout the saga so they could bring everyone back after they were done with Buu. But it wasn’t a major focal point so it is easy to forget. That’s a problem I have with the series. The dragon balls become less important the further the show goes.
I get what you’re saying. Dragonball was more of an adventure in the earlier part of the story. I like the android/cell sagas because it references the Red Ribbon Army and brings it back to the older stories a little.

Original Red Ribbon arc was so much more fun and creative too.
There was such a difference in every single character in early Dragonball and the stories were very different too. When it just became a battle shounen, it felt like pretty much every character and arc were just facsimiles of each other.
