Those studies were probably cherry picked to get the results they were looking for anyways. I'm willing to bet they specifically shopped around for the rare few that were just legitimately victims of circumstance. The plain and simple fact is that the overwhelming majority of the homeless are either mentally ill or hardcore junkies, and neither of those things can be rehabilitated by giving them money. No matter what morons like Rick think, you can't fix homelessness. It's part of the human condition. Hell, even in animals, aberrants seperate from the pack. There's a well known homeless dude in my area that comes from money, like serious money. He's paranoid schizo and doesn't want to be a part of the system. Some people don't want to "be fixed".

Plus the whole “just throw money at it!” Is such a retard way of thinking - not every homeless person is the same, and they def arent all the “down on their luck” type. You can find some “feel good” stories of how a homeless shelter helped someone get back on their feet but it’s not always the case.
