Tried this where I live. Built a 4 level apartment block. First activists got mad when they put it within eye sight of the police station. When the inevitable happened and cops would be called daily, they got mad that they didn't make it there quick enough when the front desk lady got slashed by a junkie. Local news always runs stories about the random success story, but not the piles of used needles and empty Natty Ices piled up in the trees behind the building.

The only problem with that is Californian bums are particularly worse than anywhere else in the country. The reason being when they shut down the state looney bins back in the 60’s - 70’s they no joke put them all on a bus to LA. The only other places that come close are the mini skid rows in Philly or Ohio where junkies literally line the streets nodding off in daylight.

The real answer is it has nothing to do with this imaginary vindictiveness. You also don’t have to bring up the concept of housing people and how hard or easy that would be. All you have to do is look at recent attempts. California planned to build low income housing near some rich LA neighborhood. All these faggot leftists wrote letters to the town demanding it to stop. Because it destroys property value. That’s literally the only fucking reason these people need because of course the rich are going to hold their own wealth in higher regard than if some niggers have a house of not.

Fawwk i’m not reading through this entire thread but I know these points have already been covered. Yes, there are people who don’t chose to be homeless and they aren’t crazy or drug addicts. They’re obviously in the small minority though and you never see them because chances are they’re at a shelter actually working on themselves. 99% of homeless people you see on the streets are fucking junkies who wasted their lives on drugs and usually had people enabling them. Imagine if not even the Govt but just a random person stepped in and said “Heres a house bro”. There is a 100% chance the junky takes advantage of that and just starts using it as a drug den for his bum friends. All or most of these people were given multiple chances to do exactly what Rick describes, get help, get sober, etc. But they obviously didn’t want to do it and decided to be junkies. In Ricks perfect world the Government steps in and without even forcing these people into rehab they do 180’s and become model citizens. Also usually when people spout bullshit like this they’ll back up these claims with some sort of statistics. Not Rick though. “Just trust me bro”
