Just checked.

Lee Child (Reacher books) has no personal twitter page, just some publisher-run "Jack Reacher books" account.

James Patterson has one, but it's basically just tweets advertising his awful books, with the occasional milquetoast "I really like this place" photo and caption.

Neither of them seem to find it necessary to call potential readers "fucking idiots" over a difference in opinion regarding current events.

Stephen King comes close, but he's a dry drunk and possibly a pedophile. And he sold millions of books before Twitter ever existed.

Fat.

I can't think of a single book I've read because of Twitter or Facebook, let alone a book that I've read because some fat faggot with bitch tits posted about his boring mundane life or shitty political takes on Twitter.

Twitter would be a cool way to interact with existing fans, if they existed. Has anyone following him read his tweets.
I'd go one further and say I dont think ive ever read a book based on the recommendationof the author.
I have read and recommended a shitboat of books where I don't know or care to know what the author even looks like, let alone who they are in their private life. His "I need Twitter to be a famous author" shit is just transparent narcissism. Social media doesn't sell books. Fucking Billie Eilish has tens of millions of followers and her dumb book sold less than 100,000 copies.

Gaiman might be the most active but he's usually just dunking on Pat for rating him a 4 whole giving his own garbage 5 stars

Patrick has a point. Didn't he even get his first writing contract for firebranding? He's just a very bad example for social media's promotional value in his day-to-day behavior.

I wish someone adequately autistic would take the time to outline the development of his career... How did he get to write for The Hill?

I wasn't a big fan of it either. I actually went out of my way, that first week or two when it started, and messaged him on Facebook. I told him to ignore the weaponized autism or else the outcome wouldn't be in his favor. He called me a child and blocked me.
I still can't believe it's been going on for almost 5 years now. I thought it would have stopped at 2.
He so badly wanted to be trolled so he could brand himself as a tough crusader against the alt right on leftist twitter. He assumed the trolls would quickly lose interest and he’d be able to claim a W but forgot his autism would compel him to get the last word.

Well, he worked himself into a shoot and 5 years later he’s got a $50,000 debt and contempt of court hearing hanging over his head.

I will admit that I do miss Joe Cumia and hope he’s doing well.

I hated patposting and ignored most of them at first. Once Pat came onto the sub and started arguing with everyone then I was sold. Once he tried to take credit for killing the sub then I was hooked on wanting to see how it ends. So far I dont think Pat has got one solid "win" in the entire battle. Maybe getting his twitter back the second time was a bummer but if he cant tweet, this place dries up on patposting content so it was a necessary evil. Other than that he has been taking solid Ls for 5 years straight. The plot twists have been fantastic.
I'll admit I was instantly all in on Pat. As much as Joe and Nana had given us so much I instantly realized Pat was the worst person I've ever known of in my life and I wanted nothing but the worst things in life to happen to him. Guess I won.

It might be useful if he actually used it to promote his books. Even if we remove the responses to his toilet and other felony tweeters I bet less than 5% of his posts are about his books. It’s all Ukraine, saying horrible shit to people who disagree with him about politics, and hitting on trannies
A lot of that 5% is just him ordering individual readers to demand another book from Tor.

He was doomed once people found out he responds to everything and he is so easy to trick into making an ass of himself on the internet. People just walk him into their joke and he bites every time.
