I did intend, one time, to make a video with one of my lighter hearted songs, to film the band and I on a boat as it's sinking.

You may not be surprised to hear this, but the shit we dealt with to even attempt to make it happen, was maddening. You want to do it on a real lake or river? Local government wants to charge you up the ass. Want to try to rent a studio with a large enough basin? Almost as expensive and looks three times as cheap.

And don't think I didn't notice your "strongly built boat" comment, you Pillock. I need to get back on my diet, but keto is a bitch.

Bloody hell, Shane... Prime example of how artistic talent is a magnet for vices sometimes.

I'm glad he got clean by the end, he had a rough go for God knows how long. The Pogues were a great band, and no one led them like Shane did.

Still feels too young, a bit. 65, right? That's not far from my age... You reflect on mortality the older you get, and when you see your peers fall like dominoes. When you're 20, you're invincible and getting pissed off enough pints that could bankrupt a small pub. Then when you're 50, you're making sure you didn't forget to take your medication so you don't fuckin die while going down the stairs.
