Because it's low budget, a lot of what you are seeing is actually real. For example, the autopsy scene is an actual autopsy on a child.

Some of the animal torture scenes are also completely real.

The glove scene in this one was fawkin brutal. Great pick.

Funny Games (1997) might interest you. Austrian movie.

I fawking hated that movie when I saw it for the first time. I turned it off half way in because the cruelty made me so angry. Now I'm all in with the Michael Haneke.

It's a great anti-war film and is pretty accurate based on accounts of the Nazis' atrocities in Belarus. It makes no mention of Communism really. It is filmed in a Russian way, which only adds to the unsettling tone. It is unlike any American film in the way it's shot and edited.

Mondo Cane

Africa Addio (1966) goes right along with that.

It's an exploitation flick in the same Mondo vein of being shocking for the sake of being shocking. It neither pushes an anti-war nor really a pro-war message, and it's history itself is an interesting to research.

There's actual warcrime footage of the Congolese Simba rebellion, where the US and Belgium after their CIA-supported Coup D'etat pushed the congolese rebellion's collective shit in, after having them basically genocide their expat Rwandan population.

Some parts of the movie are fiction and really drag, but then again you get to see tens of thousands of niggers (many of them believing themselves to be invincible due to some voodoo shit) being slaughtered by many different means so I guess for some of you guys it should be great comedy.

It's a great movie to watch if you want no closure or real lessons learned, only to lose your hope for humanity.

Takashi Miike and Takeshi Kitano are very different filmmakers. Kitano made some really very good festival type movies back in the day. Miike has always been batshit crazy.

Speaking of Miike, Audition was one of the most disturbing things I’d ever seen at the time and much more of a film type film than his more insane stuff.

I guess you could include Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom which is insane and horrendously difficult to sit through but also considered a classic by some.
