I’m going off middle school astronomy here but the star is considered the center of our solar system because everything revolves around its orbit because of the sun’s gravitational pull. The Earth is not the center because…it is not literally the center by which the entire system revolves around it.

Nah. The early church fathers considered what we'd call science to be the lowest form of knowledge. What we can observe is all within the realm of creation. God is uncreated so knowledge of Him requires revelation.
