I went through more than a few jobs with faggot ass supervisors on power trips. I've walked every fucking time and have been vocal about why - even right to whoever's face in a couple of instances. I don't fuck around.

These days I don't have those problems. The field I'm in and the level I'm at in my career pretty much means little oversight in my day to day tasks.

Previous employer I had during the 08-09 recession they decided everybody was an hourly employee, took us all off salary and made us all punch in and out. Take home pay was essentially the same but clocking in and out was a hassle and the different hours in each pay period made personal budgeting sort of annoying.

I've told everyone that I don't look at teams and have muted the app. This was 3 years ago and nobody has said a word to me about it. I don't attend the calls and have no idea why I haven't been fired yet.

I do not like zoom meetings either. I would rather go outside and dig a hole for 3 hours instead of sitting through a 30 minute zoom meeting.

You’d be surprised how many of the old kerchunk machines are still in use. WWAW getting a phone call from a co-worker asking you to clock them in and refusing because fuck them, show up to work on time.

These days I set my own hours which is mostly good.

I think back to my first manual labor job whete it was sonetimes 11 hour days and no breaks for little pay, and get pissed at how taken advantage i was. I could never do that again.
