Disney has lost around $900 million on their last 8 movies

It's pretty obvious that the deal is basically done behind the scenes. And right now Disney is just tanking their company to lower the price for a buyout. Then Apple purchases it and the company magically becomes profitable once again and the stock soars. No chance that the government blocks the purchase either.
You think Apple will reverse the woke shit? I'm not so sure. I think they'll double down on it.

I dont think they are going bankrupt any time soon but they tanked two different IPs with some of the biggest followings. Lots of core fans just walked away and have no real interest in giving it a second chance. Im trying to remember the last Disney movie I liked....maybe a Pirates movie or a pixar. Its been so long since I remember them putting out anything worth a shit.
Oh yeah they fucked up big time. In the scheme of things it's basically just a dip in their overall timeline. They basically just steadily climb like the sp500 with dips for a few years

Well the box office figures should be accurate because that’s public info and I believe usually you double budget to account for advertising. The rest of those movies did tank to my knowledge. Solo was the first Star Wars movie to lose money.
The recent Marvels movie could be their biggest bomb yet. That budget was over 200 million due to all the reshoots and that’s BEFORE advertising costs.

Was that the all female cast one? That sounded like it was awful. Who is the demo for that?
Yes Brie Larson and two other women and they were offering discount tickets on opening weekend. I’ve never seen a major studio big budget movie have to do that for opening weekend. They knew it was shit, had to spend a ton on re shoots trying to fix it, and it was still shit. I’m glad - Brie Larson annoys me and I’ve heard she’s a major pain in the ass to work with.

If Apple and Disney merge it sounds good, but it really gives me AOL Time Warner vibes. I can't imagine Apple being able to manage Disney well. I just can't see it being successful long term.

$500million plus for the movie and advertising budget. And they take a loss on streaming and another loss on DVD/Bluray by not promoting those anymore. The goal is to sell merchandise like toys and posters that cost pennies to make and sell for $20 or $50. But who the hell is buying Black Panther toys and hats?

They probably made that back in toys the first year. From Star Wars merchandise alone they basically clear $2billion in their worst year. And probably closer to $10billion in a big year with a movie or whatever driving toy sales. Lucas could have sold Star Wars for $40billion and it would have been a steal. Lucas has to be one of the biggest idiots in history in terms of not reaching his potential and destroying his own legacy.

Think about Microsoft buying all these game companies like Bethesda and Blizzard. Are any of those companies really bigger than Star Wars? Yet Bethesda was purchased for $7.5billion and Disney got Star Wars for a mere $4billion. ActivisionBlizzard was purchased for $69billion. Is that company really worth more than ten times literally all of the Star Wars?
Could be wrong but I think Lucas still has the rights to all original merch (vader, solo figures, etc.), which I assume most faggots buy, as opposed to whatever shite they're pumping out now.

How hard is it to make a fucking Star Wars movie?

The fan base is mostly male so why have a dumb bitch in the main role?
Even before Disney owned Star Wars most of the movies were shit. The three prequels were horrendous. Jarjar Binks? Little kid Darth Vader? Those stupid re-releases of the original movies with all of the new CGI thrown in for no reason? It seems like almost no one, not even George Lucas himself, can make a proper Star Wars movie. That fanbase is insane.
