Danny wants to be famous so bad it’s extremely depressing. First of all, nobody goes into any aspect of show business with the intent of not being famous at some level. Sure, 99% don’t make it, but nobody follows a career path in radio in the hopes that they’ll one day be a station manager. Get real.
Second, as much as he wants to fight it, his behavior while on the show absolutely screams he wants to be famous. Literally befriending one of the hosts until he couldn’t get anything else out of him, belittling the unpopular host behind his back, shit-talking all his coworkers…. Hilariously, Danny really wanted to follow the Sam Roberts career path of backstabbing his way to the top, unfortunately Sam is more willing to eat shit and, yknow, actually work hard to get there.
Finally, and the most obvious piece of evidence, is his still hanging around here, responding to YouTube comments, etc. years and years after the fact. Remember: when he first showed up on Reddit, it wasn’t to pop in for a few minutes and have a laugh at how crazy we are, it was to try to drum up interest in his podcast. Again, the spotlight is on him, here’s THE Danny Ross, here to mix it up with his loving fans and make some money off of us and most importantly make his podcast popular and make him a star in the process.
And now after years of being brutally roasted by the same 20 people for years, he still can’t just leave because this is the closest thing to fame he’s ever going to see and he knows it, that’s why he flies off the handle like clockwork.
tl;dr: kike.
