Some time ago, some Twitter guy got in touch with me and said he had been in FB chats or some shit with Opie. Anyway, dude says "Hey, you want me to see if Opie would sit down for a beer?" So I said, yeah sure. Guy gets back to me a week later - "Opie said he wasn't interested." LOL. In all fairness, if I showed up on a stream with him, it would be his most popular video in years.

What part of The Opester being out of the faaaawkin cumia business don’t you get? Let alone to entertain this faawkin hole. He doesn’t need the faawkin money. I don’t even check the bank account. Danny burned his bridges lying about Opie with his boyfriend. Now he’s a mentally ill loser who has NOBODY in his life. The guy gets fired from every job he’s ever had. What’s that say about him? He’s a loser. Purriod.
Normally I don't bother with threads about Danny or bother with his comments. Baiting him isn't entertaining to me.
However, this one little aside compels me to share something I've learned (the hard way) over the course of my own life:
A very unfulfilling, unhealthy and unattractive trait, that is bound to make you lonely and angry with the world, is entitlement. Of course it's nice, even ideal, to be treated well and to treat others with the same decency & respect; however, no-one owes you consideration, a 'sorry' or a retraction, much less bowing and scraping. Whether or not you deserve it, lots of people aren't even going to bother with the basics, sadly.
e.g. If someone doesn't want to apologise to you, or doesn't believe they need to or understand why you think they should, then they're not ever going to say sorry organically, and you're wasting your own life and no-one else's waiting around for it. What's more, even if you confront them or prompt them to apologise, the best you will get is a synthetic, reflexive and shallow apology out of politeness & appeasement or just to get you off their back. And receiving that shall make you feel even worse and shall require you to accept the fauxpology then move on, lest you look the dickhead and become the aggressor in the dynamic.
All this to say: Danny doesn't truly want Opie to apologise, because then he'll have to confront the reality that he's wasted so many years of energy and emotion on a fantasy he doesn't even really want deep down. And because then he can no longer flounce around feeling superior/inferior to Opie and to everyone around, like a spotless martyr or a victim who is always right and always wronged.
That'll be a fiver, can't say fairer than that. Much cheaper than bussy.

Very well. It wasn't praise & validation, nor was it condemnation. Take it or leave it in the intended spirit, mush, it's all the same to me.
Sam doesn't seem in need of emotional reframing, he's one of the happiest people I've seen working in media. Jimmy is too far gone for help, plus he's a known proven rapist & groomer so personally I couldn't care less how awful his fate is. Honestly I often forget who or which one of the background staff Travis is, and if you didn't post here so often and keep feeding the sharktank it would be the same story for you.
