I built a tunnel system in the alternate dimension that helps quite a bit.

An alternate dimension would be helpful. In this game if you tunnel under your base the zombies just dig down into them

Zombies and other enemies can spawn in your tunnels if you don't put torches down every so often.

The alternate dimension requires you to build a portal out of materials. You can build one, go to the dimension which is also full of hostiles, put down another portal in that dimension and it'll put you back in the overworld in a different location. You can use it to cover great distances. It's a neat mechanic.

I decided to build a huge forest around my base and completely regret it now. I can't walk outside without fear of running into one. Just had god damn 4 of them blow up and almost kill me. Now I got holes everywhere and broken trees to fix. I'm FUCKING DONE.

I thought I had plenty. My mistake was killing the stupid iron golem that kept spawning inside the fortress. I got greedy for iron and killed him. He would have helped with the zombie who spawned. 20 fucking villagers all zombified in a few seconds, so I think it was more than one zombie who did it I keep going back to the spot and see they're all still alive and I already have an area sectioned off where I can cure them and isolate them, but it's gonna take a ton potions to fix this. I'm just spawning fletchers at the moment and hoping one will offer to sell arrows of weakness.

I'm such a faggot.
