There's like 3 funny people in the UCB scene and another 5 I'm embarassed to say have made me chuckle

The show was good (except for the one I mentioned) it was every Sunday and a dollar to get in. Garlin would be funny and tell some story from his life or something from Curb and would have two “surprise” guests. This was 2009-2010 and he would bring up and coming comics / comedic actors. One week he brought Ed Begley Jr (who was really funny) and a then-little known Aubrey Plaza when she was still wearing glasses all the time.

How does they keep getting work? I don't get it. On top of being ugly as shit and annoying, she's proven that she'll try to take anybody down for anything she can. Why would you want that around?

I remember seeing her on Conan back in the day when she was trying to sell herself as a zany, "so random", reddit-type stoner. She basically acted retarded and incoherent and did a Beavis and Butthead laugh after everything she said. Then people started getting "canceled" and since then she's been a dead-serious, bitter little victim.

How else would she get work? She's ugly, charmless and talent-free. She must not have been able to believe her luck. "Wait, so I can effectively blackmail people into hiring me because they're afraid of being called racist, sexist or homophobic? And I don't have to do anything except pretend I'm a 'they?' That’s why everything just seems bland and forgettable - there’s too much out there and nothing really stands out. Years ago at UCB in LA Jeff Garlin had a weekly show and he’d bring comedians / comic actors has guests and would do some improv or just comic sets etc and she was at one and was painfully unfunny. Her whole “I’m so weird and random” shit got old real quick and had nothing funny to say.

He didn’t really do his act, like would tell a story or just interact with his guests. He actually was a really nice guy and would say hi to me when I’d run into him at the comedy store. One night before he went on to do 10 minutes (it was a weeknight, not many there) and he saw me and said “Hello My Friend! Watch this” and did the most dirty material on stage - like not at all normal for him - real nasty stuff, People didn’t know what to think of it. After the set he came over to me and said “What did you think?” And I said something like “Well, that was pretty different from your usual stuff” and he said “I know! I did that for you!”
