The car didn’t kill freedom. I took 5 months off work and traveled the country visiting friends and places. My car and the rentals were instrumental in that. Being a broke fat loser killed your freedom, pRick.
But you missed the cultural enrichment of sitting crammed between smelly browns and babbling nigs on a TRAIN. I'm sorry you're stupid.

I don't understand his point. I don't think he understands cities at all.

Boston is a classic example of a dense, European-style city with plenty of public transportation. Buses everywhere, a more or less reliable subway system, rental bikes on every fucking corner, hell you can even take the ferry in to work if you live in certain places on the coast. And yet, despite all that, Somerville has the highest density of cars per square mile in the country, and Cambridge is right behind it.
People absolutely will not just get rid of their cars because they can take the subway or a bus.

He has this bizarre, romanticized fantasy that cities should all be like Brooklyn where everyone is 25 and gay and walking around going to stand up open mics and drinking bubble tea. Like, that's all well and good but after a certain age women will think you're a loser if you don't have a car. You need to grow up at some point. Rick doesn't understand this because he grew up in the sticks and didn't move to a city until he was already an adult, and that city happens to be a fucking shithole. He has no frame of reference.

He's especially dour and depressed lately. He's out here describing the urban shithole he lives in and how it affects his mental and physical health negatively like most people live in some soul destroying nigger hive full of air pollution and lawn furniture theft. We don't.
