Its hilarious that he tries to find deeper meaning in these shows.
Him and people like Hildy believe you’re smart if you watch and understand Star Wars / Star Trek like it’s made for intellectuals. Not so - kids can understand it because it’s simple and there’s lasers / lightsabers. I can’t remember which director said it but they said stuff like Star Wars / Star Trek is just westerns set in space. There really isn’t deep thinking involved - it’s pretty straight forward - Good guys Vs bad guys.

He really wants some dead Russians doesn't he? I wonder did he want afghanis equally as dead? How about Iranians or iraqis? Did he beg for their death?

I mean George Lucas even admitted as much. He lifted themes from Samurai movies which often lifted things from Westerns. He seems as annoyed as most when people try to make it something profound when it's basically just Good Vs Evil. Except now Disney has decided to Jew up the message so it's clear if you aren't in agreement with them politically, YOU are the evil.

I feel like I say "this is what I hate most about Pat" constantly but his Boomer tendency to see entertainment as a reflection of reality is very smoothbrained. like Tony waxing nostalgic about "the strong silent type", pat seems to think if every show has a gay or a black or an other then it's a reflection of society. That gives him and his ilk a reason to whine about how they can't believe "IN THE CURRENT YEAR!" that everything isn't forcibly diversified or Evil Corporations are just shut down or stolen for the governments use. Of course he forgets what happened when Castro nationalized private property, or wasn't aware of it. I bet he thinks it's the US' fault that Cuba is an impoverished shithole today and not that no private company will ever set up on cuban soil.

But hey, what do we know, we're just the Sons of deceased professional wrestlers.

I'm glad his immersion is broken every five minutes by the noise of planes and shootings.
Not to mention having Bubs wheel his cart by, hawking his white shirts loudly.

Wasn't it Harlan Ellison?
