TeamViewer is software, and on top of that has been hacked many times.
Admin was right that IP KVM is the way to go.
If OP wants a commercially supported solution, a Raritan is fantastic, but pricey. I have a DX4 I think. Supports 4K and everything.
There's always a chance that network VPNs could be an issue when accessing remotely, but I myself haven't found that to be the case. So long as he can get to his home VPN, then get to the company computer over IP KVM, then it's basically like he's at home. When that computer connects to VPN, it's no different because essentially the monitor is IPd, and the company computer is VPNd.
I also have a PiKVM and I did see that Windows recognized the monitor or input device as "PiKVM". There's apparently a way to change the monitor name but when I tried it, it didn't work. You'd want to change it to "Logitech" or something to avoid the company knowing what you're doing, if that's your goal.
Not that I would ever do that. I just like testing things out.
