The system is supposed to validate two sets of data rules, and if it doesn’t match it should prevent you from progressing further.

It’s never worked, you could put anything in and continue your actions. It causes a LOT of regulation compliance issues.

I’ve fixed it. It now works.

I’ve sat with everybody one on one, in groups in person, countless teams calls and IMs and dozens of emails explaining it. Which is simply “it didn’t work before, it now does - now you must do it accurately, if you don’t know how raise this with your line manager because it’s a training issue and not my responsibility”

Very easy, right?

Every day for weeks since I am bombarded with “IT USED TO LET ME DO THIS AND NOW I CAN’T. FIX IT!!” to the point management keep escalating it to me because it’s my responsibility for it to work.

It does work, it didn’t before, do you want me to break it again and then get in trouble with government agencies?

I can not do anything, or present words in any order, for them to understand.

What the fuck are you supposed to?! Why are boomers / women / stupid people like this?

My favorite boomerism is their inability to maintain a calendar.

If there’s a recurring weekly meeting, they’ll claim they didn’t know about it.
If a meeting gets cancelled, they’ll somehow join that one even though it’s not even on their calendar
If they wanna cancel a meeting themselves, they’ll always cancel the series instead of the individual meeting.

I have one customer who shows up 15 minutes late to a 30 minute call and is totally incredulous when no one is in the Teams lobby. He constantly complains about how much I charge him but expects me to sit on a call for 15 minutes twiddling my thumbs long enough for him to join while billing him the whole time for it
