I was hoping this show would be darker from what I read. But I guess it's dated, and was edgy for the early 90s.

That's pretty much it. At the time, there was simply nothing else like it on television. People didn't know how to take it.

But by today's standards, it's very quaint. I still very much enjoy it, but as you said, if you go in blind on nothing else but it's reputation, you're bound to be disappointed.

Asians are weird. You can kick them in the face no ploblem because they're short. You shouldn't enjoy their culture, they should enjoy YOUR culture. When you come across them you should shove goulash and borscht down their throats with a funnel.
