Bezpečná není moje rychlost

Okay seriously, how are people supposed to learn this fucking language?

Although I just noticed: rychlost = Rick lost. The man upstairs has a sense of yoomah
On the bright side there are only three tenses - past, present and future. And, unlike English, almost all words are pronounced exactly as they're spelled and word order is quite flexible. But that's it. It's a needlessly difficult language. Even Czechs complain about all their grammar rules. Like Latin there are seven cases to decline and almost all words are inflected depending on which part of speech they are, meaning the ending of the word changes depending on various factors like gender, case, mood etc. Nightmare.

Polish is indeed very similar. I’ve got a few months under my belt but it’s so tough to actually communicate / express myself still.

I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for Patrick to get his DuoLingo Spanish score up to bragging levels.

I think the people who are native speakers of these "small country" languages (meaning ones that aren't spoken internationally) usually appreciate it when you try to speak their language to them instead of barking in English. Except the ones who want to practice their English. I don't like to make mistakes but that's not a great approach to learning another language I guess because you will, and indeed have to, make mistakes before you get better. (Sigh) it's a tough one man.
