There's actually a really cool video that talks about the New Radicals that I encountered not too long ago. This whole guy's channel is actually pretty entertaining.

If you like this one, check out the channel "New British Canon"

My fav is his Aphex Twin video; even if you're not a fan of the artist, his story is flat out hilarious:

The Killers

I like Sams Town most of the way through and only like 2 from Hot Fuss. The rest is trash.

You ever heard Vicky Cryer? I suppose that belongs in this thread, they only made one album but it’s the shit. It’s got Jason Hill from Louis XIV doing most of it with drummers from Muse and Jamiroquai, the bassist from Killers, and a NIN guy in there somewhere. They only did a few shows and I caught one, one of the best shows I ever saw.

Just checked and there's nearly fifty tracks on that record. How. Why.
It's essentially a compilation album. They wrote a ton of songs and were inspired by Husker Dus recently released double album. So for this album every band member got to pick what songs they wanted on which record. And because the band was a trio on the fourth side they just threw what they felt wasn't the strongest stuff on.

I thought Manson died in a prison hospital ?

Which is what some might say is a clear example of racial inequality. Tookie Williams is put to death even after seemingly repenting, while Manson got to live his life until illness without as much as an acknowledgement for his heinous influence and gross misconduct.

I have no idea how Manson avoided getting stomped out in prison. Shit makes no sense.

Criminal sentencing got a lot harsher in the ten years between Manson and Tookie. RICO laws didn’t exist yet, for instance, which could have been applied to good old Charlie.

Inmates probably left him alone because they thought he had magic powers or some dumb shit.
