99% of the time on O&A, Brother Joe would bomb. And not just bomb, but bring the show to a commercial break level halt. Occasionally he would say something that could have been funny but it was delivered with such a lack of confidence that it turned into a bomb. He was gun shy on radio almost all appearances.

I don't know about that, LingerLonger, when did Bovine say something even remotely funny... Ever? It was clearly apparent that both Ope and Ant hated his calls each and every time and I seem to recall both of them often groaning negatively when "BroJoe called the direct line with yet, another shitty 2Jew or Not Foreigner gig plug.

He could produce a bit and probably would have been a good back office worker like Troy or Derek. He still made song parodies and bits for the show that were funny. I was always surprised that Anthony never hired him as a producer at WNEW or Sirius. I don't think that they get along that well because there is no way that Joe never asked for a production job.

Without question, Joe probably hounded Ant about jobs all through into Sirius! Ant knew better than to bring that work thief into the fold. He probably would've got Ant fired by stealing music equipment from Sirius or making a complete jerk off of himself bothering the musicians when they came in for interviews and concerts. Bovine would most certainly have inserted himself into the Fish Bowl where bands would play and obnoxiously "talk shop" about how to properly mic the instruments and praise the merits of the "digitech looper" pedal so you can "play leads... Just like Eric!" Joe would've continued to hand out the O.J parody tape and the Dara tape behind Ant's back looking for his own record deal.

Eventual upper management would've said "who the fuck is this bow legged faggotster asshole always loitering around here?! And what the fuck happened to Edge's personalized guitar that Sirius Radio gave him as a gift? Go check the cameras!" Aaaaand... Sure as shit there's ol' bandy legs making off with another instrument out to Ant's Cadillac Escalade!

Guaranteed all this would have happened. That's why Ant never demanded he gets hired.

Ant said he tried to prod him to join the party and lighten up "We're rich, bitch! Have some fun! We made it out of HVAC slavery!" He said Bovine just continued to pout and strum faggot ass U2 songs while pretending to be Edge. Ooof.

We get it, you were the one that stood at the back door of a shitty ass little radio station waiting for Opie's Nighttime Attitude Show door to open so you could personally hand Opie the O.J parody bit tape yourself. WE HEARD YOU! It was Ant's vocals that made the bit, stupid. "NOT YOU!"

Wrestler guests, porn star guests, and hours bitching about "management" were borderline unlistenable, but "Brother Joe is on the phone!" was a nice warning that the audience can take a break for an hour and not miss anything memorable or relevant.

Yes they were. A perfect example is when he called in during one of my favorite bits, the one where the boys without Norton are talking about misheard lyrics in songs, just to ask Anthony to introduce the Blue Oyster Cult at some gig. Complete waste of time and he was rightfully car crashed.
