He's a little jealous that he's not getting all our attention at the moment

Yeah... good point!

The end goal for Pat is attention.

He's so unfathomably narcissistic that it is difficult to understand his chess moves at times. But he gets the most attention from us, then slightly less attention from posting woke takes to Twitter, then exponentially less attention from his shitty novels.

So... which demographic is he going to put the most amount of attention into? Obviously it is us.

Pat needs us, he used to think his “I beat the trolls, child” story was going to make him famous. Book deals, tv appearances, speaking tours, etc he saw in his future. Now that he’s put all his eggs in one basket of the lol suit, stalking podcast, crying on twitter, failed restraining order, etc now he’s banking on someone making him famous for dealing with trolls and being a brave survivor. Pat thinks the victim business will pay big time.

Compares it to movies that came out about a decade ago on a fad that long past. The “just add zombies durrr” thing went out by 2015.

Redoing "A Christmas Carol" was hack when The Muppets did it in 1992. AV Club, comment?

How about you, home of the Nazi atalkers Good Reads:
A Christmas Carol Retellings
This list is for retellings/prequels/sequels to Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. (16 items)

Still, in a crowded but unpopular market, I'm sure Pat's unique voice will stand out.

EDIT: Here's 10 more from Mental Floss, and that Goodreads link leaves off "Scrooge & Cratchett" and "The Haunting Refrain to Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol".

I wish we had video of rick reading off teasers of his dickins fan fic at that detroit con or whatever. Let's all pool money for a lottery scheme so we can fund a paparazzi group to flash lights in his face until he tard rages into a murder and/or a suicide.

I bet he thinks since the muppets did it 30 years ago it’s something that will work in 2022 and will have a huge audience. Do younger people even know “A Christmas Carol”? I’m a couple years younger than Pat and knew it from the many cartoons and 80s / 90s sitcoms that had a Christmas Carol type episode. I feel like that’s one that hasn’t been seen by audiences 18-25. I remember feeling old when I learned younger people didn’t like “A Christmas Story” (it’s old!) And preferred newer Christmas movies.

The quick google I did suggests they make a new version every year; it's just they go nowhere because no one cares.

The BBC did one in 2019 - Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce, Andy Serkis, 7.2/10 on IMDB, shown on BBC America and FX, and on Hulu right now - and I hadn't heard of it because no one cares.

Pat'll be fine, though. I'm sure it's only the premise that's hackneyed, not his story or prose.

(He's going to fuck up the 19th century English, isn't he, and it'll set every high school graduate who reads it's teeth on edge.)

How has he not done this already is beyond me. Is his ego that big that he can't self publish? It would show initiative and probably get him more sales than shilling his dog shit ancient books no one cares about.
He has made a firm point to the atalkers that he is a published author; and self-publishing (while it's in his best interests as an author) would be letting the atalkers win.

If he had 50 thousand genuine non-bot followers then crowd funding would be a solid option; but even he knows he can't fund a thousand-book print run with his followers.

I have a feeling, and this as a non author

Patrick is focusing on the wrong things in his writing career

Rick treats writing his books, like I treat taking cat shit of out of a litter box and putting it in a little plastic bag

Stephen King for example, wrote so many books he had to come up with fake names to release them, as to not piss off lesser Authors (look it up). He can’t stop writing, it’s what he does. As big of a faggot and pedo he might be, he can put some words on a page and make you see a picture.

Pat takes no pride in anything other than his paper tiger list of credentials

That’s what I was thinking, I know they still do it yet it seems like the younger audience doesn’t even know it and older audiences have seen it done to death so they avoid. If you grew up in the 90s pretty much every family sitcom had a Christmas Carol episode as well as just about every cartoon. Talk about beating a dead horse.

Muppets Christmas Carol is one of the all time movies ever made IMO

It’s so unique, and it shouldnt be as good as it is

Kind of; he wrote the Bachman books under a pen-name to see if he could sell books without the Stephen King branding. He wanted to know if he was still a good writer, or whether he'd gone to shit.

This is why Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki makes such a point of being a black African; he know his stories wouldn't sell worth a damn if he was white; and even less if he wasn't from deepest, darkest exotic Africa.

That’s true, he says hes a published author and will not settle for any other option. He’s going on two years since a book without a publisher and writing on spec. He doesn’t even make vague references to his “scripts” making moves. It’s also why he won’t get a real job, he’s told himself he’s an author and that’s it, even if he doesn’t sell any books and lays on a couch tweeting all day.
