This is not at all about protecting trannies' feelings, it's about stopping people from being able to communicate unauthorized thoughts.
While some on the right are making fun of Biden's speech last week, the fact is he's making no bones about the average person being the enemy of the country.
They're about to ramp up some shit and they don't want people communicating. A site like KF has too much of an active user base and too many people who know truths that it has to be dealt with. If you don't know KF, it seems insignificant, but Null is absolutely right in that this attack has been coordinated.
Hate to sound cliche, but we're not voting our way out of this. The system will either win or it will crumble under its own incompetence. I really don't see any other outcome.

Most people think that it's the Dems vs. the Republicans.
It's really (((the elite))) vs everyone else, and the elite gets away with it because everyone else doesn't understand what's up. I think before Trump you could be forgiven for that, but whether you like or hate trump, to see how the media acted and how the government really works, I don't know how the average person can still not at least understand half of how hard they're actively being fucked.
In legal terms, it's interesting that Null has a case, and it's very close to Alex Berenson's: the government put pressure on CloudFlare. MTG said KF should be banned. Even if she's an innocent victim of the swatting, she's a government official talking censorship. And it can be easily argued that CloudFlare went along with removing their service due to the pressure from MTG and others. Which is de facto government censorship.
I also thought social media sites had section 230 protection -- so KF is essentially not responsible for what its individual users do. So the argument Null has to make is, "Why didn't authorities contact me for IP addresses of the accounts they suspected"?
The average person doesn't think like this. If a normy hears any of this, they just think KF was created to only SWAT people. They don't understand that the Swattings literally started in the beginning of August, and that the site has been around much, much longer than that.
In any case, my main point still stands. Big message boards are going to go away, and they'll go after smaller and smaller ones. We're probably too small but one day that may not matter. Be preparing. Make local friends. All of these things that are happening are not going to go away if DeSantis is elected in two years.

I agree, and I think people getting off of the internet would ultimately be a win for society. Censorship seems to be the natural progression of online communities, and I think you’re right that it’ll get worse going forward.

There will just be a diaspora for individual cows. It's funny that KF gets so much blame just because they're one of the biggest single places for lolcows but they really did try and enforce "look but don't touch". You would see threads that hated all the splinter groups, cows that had facebook groups, discords, individual forums, etc. that were way more hands on. People like darksydephil and wingsofredemption have really active communities not on KF that spend all their time trolling them like we do pat. Same with keffals, go on doxbin to see the pinned dox thread for it. All these twitter faggots are way too online to not have groups of people who hate them enough to make their lives miserable. I'm willing to bet trolling for these people gets worse. They'll wish KF was still around when you have places that encourage untraceable ways of harassing them. Supposedly all these recent SWATs were using text to speech over VoIP and will never be resolved

In reality most normal people never got involved in the first place. I think its cool that I have this hilarious secret life when I go home, but when I hang out with people they’re into normal surface level shit, fantasy football, and their social media use is mostly scrolling instagram to see if girls they know posted a good shot of their tits in the past 24 hours.
I’ve been mostly on Lit Crit hiatus for like the past week and everything seems pretty ok, then as soon as I check it and all this internet drama its like the sky is falling.

It's not the hosting, its the DDoS protection. Nobody wants to host the site and get hammered with DDoS attacks all day because it will affect their other hosts. So he needed Cloudflare or DDoS-Guard because they were the only ones who had the capacity to protect him (so he says anyway). I know Akamai, Azure, AWS offer some sort of DDoS protection but Null didn't mention them so maybe they don't have the throughput/tech to prevent against the floods he was getting. His last post made it seem like once DDos-Guard dropped him he wasn't sure where he had left to go.
