Trump wins the electoral college, Harris probably wins the popular vote. California, New York, and Illinois lean Democrat much more than Texas, Florida, and Ohio lean Republican.

The House, being controlled by the R’s, would give the Presidency to Trump

and then the Senate, being controlled by the D’s….would give the VP to Tim Walz

Pretty good bit i’d say
We don't know who will control the House come January. The current session of Congress won't be deciding anything, those elected to the House this November and the 1/3 of Senators up for election will.

Playing around on https://www.270towin.com/ made me realize that there's a chance, not a very big one, but still a chance that it could happen because of Nebraska and Maine's weird split electoral votes. Something like this is not an unrealistic scenario:

Coupla tree things 🤌👌

1. It wouldn't be the current Congress, it'd be the Congressmen who win in November and take office Jan 1. Control of either chamber could be different.

2. The House wouldn't vote as individuals, they'd be grouped into state delegations with one vote per state. So there would only be 50 votes. That would favor Republicans regardless if Democrats win the House. But then you have Alaska with a Democrat House member even though it's a heavily Republican state (thanks to Sarah Palin being a dumb cunt) and who knows how that would go.

You’re right on all of this.

Would really fuck the VP decision up though. Right now it’s 51 D and if Tester loses (while D’s keep every other seat) that makes it a 50-50 tie, basically leaving the control over who gets VP to a rogue voter. (Pretty sure VP cant cast tie breaking vote in this)

So ok hilarious reality where D’s win House, lose Senate, tie in EC:

President Kamala Harris and her Vice President JD Vance
