Divorce hits kids extremely hard. They obviously can’t comprehend parents splitting and take it as them being the cause. “If dad loved me so much why’d he leave?” This causes trust issues towards any boyfriend who says they love her. “Dad loved me too, and he left.” Often times, usually through faults of the parent, a child can turn against one parent perceiving them to be the cause of the divorce. Other times a parent will take the hatred they have for their ex out on their child.
Ok. So what was the point of all of that? That’s how hard divorce is for a child. Now imagine how fucking hard it is when a parent DIES instead. Do you think Ade had any consideration of that when she started dating again? It’s extremely hard for a child to adjust when a divorced parent starts dating again. Imagine how hard it is for a child to adjust to a widowed parent dating again, no less than a year after her dad dies. The perception will be that their cunt of a mother didn’t give a fuck about the man they loved and who raised them. They have to come to terms with having a shitty uncaring mother and now a father they barely know who commands the respect of being their real dad, despite being an ultimate deadbeat.
I feel bad for Annabelle. She truly got a fucked hand in life. Her father is deadbeat Pat who no matter how far he runs from her will always have his genetics implanted into her. She had a good, albeit white trash, upbringing with Jon Snyder raising her dutifully as if she were his own. Then he dies and now she has to realize the parents she has left are fucking rubes. No matter who ended up raising her it was always gonna be a shit show.
