The story of when Anthony saw Howard at a casino and he proceeded to tell it in the most cringe inducing way possible. Like it was a fucking Wild West standoff. No amount of description can do it justice to how fucking embarrassing it is. And it directly pokes holes in Anthonys entire “I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO MAKE FUN OF HOWARD! THAT WAS OPIE WHO WAS OBSESSED WITH THE GUY!” meanwhile faggot Nana turned a simple “Hey how ya doing” interaction into a fucking duel of gods. FAGGOT!

That was part of it sure. But Howard basically supplied Dominic Barbara for Anthony's wife during the divorce. And then put O&A under a gag order and pretty much did everything possible to make sure that no company hired them to compete with Howard in mornings because he was afraid of having to compete with actual edgy shock jocks.

Sure Anthony's closeted homosexuality is what really cost him millions in his divorce. But in his (demented) mind he could always blame it on Dominic and Howard and just on women in general.

He did though. He was clearly the best impressionist. Jackie told people off air that same week that Anthony mentioning 'Opie' meant he was going to get thrown out of the studio instead of given first prize. Jackie talked about that on O&A over a decade later. And everyone knew that Anthony basically sabotaged his winning by mentioning Opie too early. Guy was too nervous and just blurted out the worst thing possible.

If he had won first place....then told everyone "I work with Opie on WBAB" it would have been harder for Stern to just throw him out on the streets.

They literally reacted like toxic gas was filling up the studio when Opie's name was dropped. Gary immediately began talking over Anthony and one of the producers in the back is trying to shut Anthony's microphone off. A bunch of paranoid timid wimps.
