Those IPAs he's drinking are a good 250 cals each, and you know he's not drinking one. Pat's guzzling all evening. He's probably drinking 5, maybe 6 and consuming 1400-1500 empty calories in addition to whatever slop he shoved in his fat gullet. Pat's topping out at probably 3000 cals a day with zero exercise. Exactly what you want to be doing in your mid forties.
He makes me grateful that I started giving somewhat of a shit about keeping fit and watching what I eat. When you’re not constantly grazing and drinking heavily, the occasional treat is actually a nice thing.
