49ers are (or were) notoriously bad team coming from behind. Roster construction, schemes and coaching style all focus on controlling the clock and running the ball, specifically zone blocking running schemes that favor smaller nimble O-Lineman that traditionally don't fare as well at pass blocking. They can be painful to watch when they are down.
