Mr. Tomlinson has just threatened Leslie Varney, a female publisher whom he has been attacking on Twitter from behind a block for more than a year, to be sued into poverty with a lawsuit that will presumably be funded by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
- Mr. Tomlinson's 2021 lawsuit was funded in secret by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, a 501(c)(3) charity, to the tune of $100,000 without the knowledge or consent of their donors or members. They also agreed to pay any sanctions in case he lost (which he did).
- All parties involved signed NDAs so that the general public would never know.
- To this day, SFWA has never acknowledged its funding of the lawsuit, and actively instructs the few people in the know to ignore all inquiries into it.
- Is the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America funding Mr. Tomlinson's lawsuit against the Milwaukee Police? If they are, the general public probably wouldn't know due to their history of funding expensive lawsuits in secret.
- You can use IRS form 3949-A to report SFWA's activity if you reasonably believe that it is illegal for a 501(c)(3) charity to secretly fund frivolous nuisance lawsuits for one of its members.

- Mr. Tomlinson's feud started after members of the now-defunct Reddit site r/opieandanthony got his Twitter account suspended, causing him to threaten some bored trolls who never heard of him with a libel lawsuit. The trolls responded predictably.
- Mr. Tomlinson has been instructed many times by friends, family, police, and attorneys to stop engaging with his trolls, and that continuing to provoke them will cause him to be trolled even more. Mr. Tomlinson wilfully ignores this advice
- He would eventually file a defamation suit against 60 anonymous people which was dismissed with Mr. Tomlinson being ordered to pay $34,762.25 for opposing parties' attorney fees.
- He ended up paying $83,736.99 due to his unsuccessful attempts to dodge the court-ordered judgement, for which he faced jail time and contempt charges.
- He also filed 2 frivolous restraining orders against people who had engaged in First Amendment-protected behavior (one for texting him and another for attending his contempt of court hearing), both of which were dismissed.
- Early on in the lawsuit, Mr. Tomlinson vandalized his own motorcycle and submitted a false police report blaming the people he was suing.
- He accidentally sent surveillance video of the alleged vandal (himself) to a troll.
- Mr. Tomlinson has never shown this video footage during any of his media tours, and desperately tries to scrub it from the internet.
- Mr. Tomlinson claims that the surveillance video was initiated by his "motion-activated" camera, which only collects "30 seconds at a time", despite the video being 32 seconds long and beginning several seconds before the "vandal" enters into the frame.
- On 13 April 2023, the individual responsible for calling the fake emergences (SWATs) to Mr. Tomlinson's house, a SWAT-for-hire dealer named "Torswats", revealed that Mr. Tomlinson ordered the SWATs to his own house because he wanted to get in the news and sue the MPD for money.
- Torswats would repeat these allegations in private chats which were not intended for public view.
- Mr. Tomlinson has gone on multiple news tours since the SWATtings started in order to promote his victimhood brand, utilizing the services of Lenora Claire.
- He also recently sued the MPD for money.

My only interaction with fatso is pretending to be a fan on Twitter and asking about the sequel to one of his space novels. There was no "let @torbooks know that you want it on the schedule", because he knows he does not have actual fans.
How I look at it is he thought his last 3 book deal was going to be a complete trilogy. Instead it's two unfinished series across multiple genres for any prospective publisher to see that he clearly isn't worth a multi book deal. Couple of dead end cliffhangers that he has to beg other people to go beg his former employer to pay him to write. What a pathetic piggy we have.

I think the publisher looked at it that way, too - I read a blog by a Tor author, and he said they prefer to sign you up for trilogies, as it's easier on their marketing budget.
Here's how I see his 'literary career'
1. He started with a bunch of short stories and compilation work - publishing in collections with other people.
2. He got signed with Angry Robot Books through his connections and former agent, who apparently is a pretty big player in the publishing world. I have no idea how he got this agent, probably was just lucky.
3. His "big chance" was the Ark Trilogy and probably were the books he put the most work and care into. They still sucked and the trilogy bombed.
4. Angry Robot Books let him go, Piggy signed with TOR as a "This is your last chance" trilogy deal. And we all know how that turned out. TOR could have given two shits about helping him, they even left that Gatecrashers quote on the cover of Starship Repo.
5. He's now just shitting out gimmick stories like Herd Immunity and Tiny Tim Tales. He hasn't earned back any of his advances so the only way he'll get anything published in the traditional scene ever again is if he goes indie and becomes successful and tries to come back.
TLDR - He's a miserable failure and his career is over.

The person who approves $100,000+ investments into these box office tragedies also has someone to answer to. They have a career as well, and it is a big kick in the balls when they approved funding for editors, marketing, author pay, and production of a book that sold 200 copies.

Nobody's putting that kind of money into Pat's books.
The art's maybe a grand, the editor charges maybe a grand (less if you hire one that doesn't know what "the ecliptic" is, and is too lazy to Google it), hardback books are ordered 2000 units at a time (to avoid having remainder copies they can't sell) and are typically done on the basis of bookstore pre-paid pre-orders, so the publisher is spending the bookstore's money up front.
The biggest expense is Fatboy's $10k advance; and they won't make that mistake again.

Taking out the factor of us soft serving on him 24/7, his writing really does suck. I mean if any other famous author like Stephen King or somebody came out with a book written the way he does, we would say that that author jumped the shark.
