I know they are terrible for fuel retention and the damn fuel has such a terrible taste that it gives me headaches. The only time I will drag out a zippo is when a bic runs out of fluid and running up to the gas station isn't in the works.. but overall I enjoy the iconic look and the variety of tricks that have been developed for them. I have a few unopened zippo lighters(wicks&flint) and a couple hand warmers put away. Those along with several fuel canisters make up the backbone of my smoking flame needs for when the bomb drops. Someday I will drop some $$ down on one of the more efficient survival lighters.

I think he had no idea what he was doing seeing as he set a pretty good fire inside his house. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is that he has another zippo sitting there, so you'd think he would have refilled one before. And wouldn't you notice it all seeping out the bottom of the case and think "oh, I think I fucked this up." Either way, the guy's an idiot.

I have a friend who has an electric arc lighter that goes off every 5 minutes because he lights a joint, takes a puff and then pontificates until it goes out. The noise it emits is like an electrical arc, like nails on a chalkboard.

I want to punch him and burn off his eyebrows with the lighter.

I don't smoke but love to have one. They look cool.

I have never owned a lighter all this time.
