Anyone have experience? I don’t overland at all. I just think this would be fun to have on my truck. I like that the xcover has its own set of rails so I can throw bikes on there or whatever.

My plan is to camp along Lake Michigan with it to catch the early morning waves for surfing in the winter, sleep in the parking lot at mount Bohemia for the first Pow of the morning in January, etc.

I’m now an active outdoors person bc I bought this.

Have you considered camper shells? I got one after I learned an actual slide-in camper would exceed the payload and I didn't want to bother with dumb shit like air suspension. The shells are PFG. I got a cot in mine, just need a portable shitter and generator.

They do fuck your MPG, but you can just remove it if you have to commute regularly.

Make sure you don't fall in the huge bunker my kid dug out of the sand there last summer. Luckily it didn't collapse on him. On the other hand, if she starts irritating you too much with her Zoomer speak, you can just toss her in there and quickly fill it in.
