To gain weight you probably want something more than just a protein powder. Get a weight gainer that is protein that has a bunch of oats in etc for calories.

This blends preddy gud and doesnt taste like shit:

they have weight gain/bulking versions of it or just blend in your own oat/flax powder for calories.

Start pounding down the eggs. I eat 6-8 a day, very light scramble or french style scrambled if you have trouble keeping down solids.
Or eat them raw/blended into the protein shake.

I’m doing that too but need to supplement.

All the wheys drink pretty good if you just pound it with water the taste doesn't matter but if you want to blend it with milk, some bananas, and raw eggs like some of the other brothermen have mentioned.

A buddy from work does body building he would do the only eating red meat diet both in his mouth and his ass to bulk up.

I use Muscle Feast whey isolate. Available in about a handful of flavors and in 1, 2, sometimes 4, and 5 lb cans/bags. It's grass-fed and minimal ingredients. I'd also suggest collagen protein in addition to regular protein (Great Lakes brand on Amazon, green cannister).

If your doctor suggested protein powder, go with it. If they just said more protein, I would try to stick with real food first. Just eat more properly raised beef, pork, chicken, or fish.

Any whey isolate is good. Brand names don't really matter. Whey protein will be naturally low in fiber. The protein farts usually come from the artificial sweetners they add (non digestible sugar alcohols, hence the farting), so just get completely plain unsweetened and suck it up like a man.

Most powders give about 25g of protein per 32g scoop. Buy one like that. The larger The tub, the better because you're gonna be surprised how fast you go through a small one.

Consume about 1-1.5g of protein per bodyweight per day. I shoot for about 175 to 200g. I have 50g of powder with the remainder coming from egg whites and meat.

Whey is great. Pretty affordable when purchased in bulk. Plus it blends well w a high-protein Greek yogurt for a 100g+ snack.

It's not protein powder, and not sure if you can get it in the States, but Dunn's River Nurishment is something that both bodybuilders and people who need meal replacement because of chemo and other treatments use here. It also just tastes good, especially the chocolate. I used to guzzle them when I rowed competitively

I’d do only real food if I could but I just can’t eat enough, I get full too fast. Doctors said get the calories and protein however you can get it so that’s why I’m adding powder to it.

I was going to bring up nurishment but figured it wouldn't be across the pond. I drink it all the time, bit high in sugar but just too good.
Always downed in one, straight from the can to get the slight metallic taste. Have drunk tens of thousands and never once poured it into a glass.

One of my biggest regrets to this day is not trying the cafe creme flavor they had 15 years or so ago when Dunns still owned them. I literally still seethe over that.

For other brothermen, its a baked milk drink which makes it different (and delicious).
