Lost power here last night for about 5 hours, the shit finally just came back on and was never so relieved to have my A/C blowing again. Was a hot and humid night and with nothing for entertainment except a few candles burning I was starting to go mad being left alone with nothing but my thoughts. Missed you scamps.

Power was out all day Saturday in my whole area so all the stores and everything shut down. I was out of cigarettes and would've had to drive an hour to get more. It was also extremely hot. 34°C. I just had to sit waiting with nothing but my thoughts. Brooooding, if you will. I also jerked off like 10 times that day. A lot of broooooooding. A lot of jerking off.

Think in the last decade I have had one or two power cuts. Where do you live? Afghanistan?

Yesterday was the first time in ages that the power went out and stayed out. Normally it might go out momentarily during a storm but it's usually back on in a few minutes, this time that shit stayed out. I am in America but the issues were caused by high winds. I have a vhf & uhf handheld radio that I was able to listen to for a bit and it was reporting 60+ mph winds along with storm warnings. I would have kept that thing on and scanned for other people talking but I didn't know how long the battery would last.

I also have a Sony PSP, Nintendo 3DS, a portable dvd player and several other gadgets to mess with but I didn't have any of those things charged nor the batteries to run any of em . My cell phone was below 20% and for a good portion of that time the cell towers were also down. I always thought of myself as a wannabe survivalist type so I have tons of gimmicks and shit stashed away to hopefully deal with events like this but a few key supplies rendered my preparations semi useless. I will have to take another look at the items I have and what I am missing for such a night. A few things I know for sure I will be buying is a car battery jump/power source with usb/power outlets, more candles/holders, a heavy duty flashlight and last but not least tons of fucking batteries in all different sizes. (sorry for the brother joe rantings)

Last weekend the biggest internet utility in the country went out. Rogers. Ppl were blaming Putin.

It goes out so often everyone has generators, we have trees leaning/laying stretching power like eight from the ground,the policy of power company is they will not do anything about it until it knocks power out, we had a two inch diameter dead oak laying on line that was wet from rain sparking and ended up on fire, once we get a good storm plus the shitty management of trees on lines roads are usually blocked by trees both ways, you better have enough gas for at least two days

I lose power for a few minutes sometimes multiple times a week. Never more than 20 mins. Lots of storms in the summer and lightning fucks shit up.

Like 10 or so years ago we had a bad windstorm and we lost power for 13 days in the middle of summer. Imagine being without ALL electronics for almost 2 weeks. Stupid hot at night every night. Was able to charge my phone at work. Used a generator for some basic things like to watch a movie at night or whatever.

After a week it wasn't quite as bad and you start to adapt to the lack of light and stimulation.. once they flipped the switch and that sweet hum of electricity echoed down the street people were literally outside their houses crying.
