WWAWD kettlebells

They seem like they'd give you a good range of motions.

I've got some cast iron weights like this (pic below) around the office to curl & can do a range of things, but they're uncomfortably square to hold for some things.
Anyone use kettlebells?

Why not just fill a couple of your mom's old kettles with gravel and start pulling, bending and twisting for 20 minutes a day? @LockedHDD__Pot
my mother doessn't have any old kettles, but I don't mind improvising stuff - these weights I've got around the place are some old weighbridge calibration weights I think.
Kettlebells just look like they'd give a wider range of movement & options,

If you say so. This fall, besides a dumbbell & bodyweight routine maybe 3x a week, I plan to brush up on my saber fencing movements, maybe try some basic longsword strike sequences/movement as well. Not joking. Good luck to ya!

I don't want to sound like Fatrick twirling his cheerleader batons, but I actually do something kinda similar to what you described with some metal tubing from the workshop, it's heavier at the away end so it wants to leave your hand, I mostly do front strike sequences with it & stop / direction changes.
it's a good all-rounder

You should get some of those clubs the Iron Sheik would swing around. It's apparently a really good workout.

I noticed some girl-sized kettlebells being sold in a supermarket a few weeks back. Who the fuck is buying 5lb kettlebells at a supermarket? Girls I guess, but why? Oh yeah, to sit on the floor of their messy lounge and never get used. I'm answering all my own questions today.
