Picked up a computer monitor yesterday. Got it home and of course the picture is faded and blotchy in places.

I got a bunch of pirate DVDs once that was PFG.

Generally though, it's better for getting rid of stuff, rather than scoring something good.

If I'm staying in the city people will just leave stuff outside knowing it'll get taken; the scrap metal gypsies patrol daily, & anything of any potential value will get grabbed in minutes.
I'm out at odd times & grabbed a 29(?)inch monitor & it works great - I was surprised & expected to be chucking it. It needed cleaning & didn't have power lead, but saved me trying to repair a similar one which stopped working.

Freecycle is good to look at in case any antiques / valuables pop-up.
