I'm surprised that Queens of the Stone Age is doing a show with them with Linkin Park as the headliner. I love QOTSA- Linkin Park is okay but I'm only really familiar with Hybrid Theory. I'm not a huge fan of bands continuing on after a lead singer dies, but it's worked for a few bands-- Iron Maiden, Van Halen (prefer Dave, but Sammy is alright) and Alice in Chains come to mind.
