Glad you got some rest, Nigger Jim. I was chronically sleep deprived for years and it really does you no favors mentally.

yea, i was in Iraq all of '09, and since then I'm lucky to get good sleep. Im no0t even saying thats from PTSD, but after that I would work 15 to 16 hour days at home station and on future deployments and that really fucked with my sleep.

once or twice a week I get a "good" rest it seems.

Funny you posted this. Normally I sleep like a champ. Solid 8 hours give or take, depending how late the dogs sleep.

For reasons I will not elaborate on here (trust me it's nothing exciting or worth spending any time on), Friday night into Saturday morning I slept for one and a half hours. Stayed up all day Saturday and by 6 was just dragging. Went to bed at 8 pm Saturday night and woke up at 8:30 Sunday morning.

It was glorious!!

I have family who can sleep in until noon and I have no idea how anyone does it. 6am I am awake like it or not. If I sleep into 7 I feel really refreshed but its like a once a year thing I do that.

I ran 12.5 miles this morning. I am completely shattered and will be asleep by 10.30 and so the cycle of early starts continues

I'm usually asleep by 10.30 (except on weekends) and wake up between 5.40-5.45 without an alarm, which is fine in the spring and summer but pretty grim in the winter. If I have a few drinks on Friday/Saturday night I can sleep till 8 or 9, but it's not as good quality sleep.

Guess I got to cocky making this thread; went to bed last night at 2100, woke up at 0030 and have been up all fucking day. nothing like waking up from a nightmare and not being able to go back to sleep.
