3 sucked.
Should've continued the story from 2, but instead they opted for some retarded story about a black dude coming back from Vietnam and working for different factions. The gameplay was shit too and repetitive as fuck. The first two games had a variety of missions, but in 3 it's literally just going to different bases, killing everyone and repeat. I think it took me 5 days to beat it and returned it for a refund.

I thought Mafia Definitive Edition was pretty good, if not VERY good. You can always wish they went all out for any remake, but that's not realistic. I've replayed it twice, as of last spring. It's a solid remake. The feel and look of the city, plus cars are very nice. Cutscenes are good. My only minor gripes are noticeable chink and nig npc's walking in spaghetti town (hoo hoo), and the gunfire volume needing adjusting. The post-story little missions can be fun and challenging too.

Roaming around the Sicilian countryside, villages, and ruins via newfangled automobiles, horseback, or on foot sounds pfg to me. I hope for somewhat realistic bolt action rifles not limited within 150 yards.
Edit: Also hoping for a chat wheel type thing so you can pester npc's with "Oh! Madone!" or "Sweet a tonatto!" until they fight you.
