Not that Blue Jam didn't have good music. The music show was just shockingly accessible with their song choices. You'd never The Egg or Suede on Blue Jam. Not a bad or a good thing.

Very different shows, 'The Music Show' had to be vaguely accessible for daytime Radio one, I think one was even played on xmas day, LOL.

Radio 1 used to take more risks back then, their overnight stuff even more so... which is where Blue Jam aired, even though Morris wouldn't hand-in the recording until last minute. There was one time where the Diana funeral remix was vetoed, but he swapped the tapes &/ got half of it played anyway.

Also the monologue 'Rothko' was the origin of the short film 'My Wrongs...'

Well The Music Show was almost a genuine shock jock morning show with just really bizarre bits and a cobost if I remember correctly. Blue Jam was Chris and actors doing really dark skits. It's been about 15 years since I heard either. I loved them though.

Oh god. I can't remember what it was. It might have been the Christmas show. He had his co-host go out and do something really obnoxious. My brain won't remember what it was. I just remember laughing really hard at their phone conversations.

I suffered from extreme insomnia before and from my experience not much can really help once in the throes of such.. except medication.

As silly as it sounds, the most common/basic answers are the right ones - Try to get outside during the day and do a bit of shit. Mow the grass, clean up leaves, something to get the blood pumping.
