I'd take the 5 sink money. There's not many places in the world I give a shit to go to and if I was obligated to I'd enjoy it even less. I'd take less money and almost absolute freedom though.

I like my new job and don't mind the travel. BUT I have a house that I live in 8 days a month (weekends) that feels like a hotel now which is one reason I said it could burn down.

Also it does start blending together. Airport, hotel, airport, home, airport, hotel, airport home. I guess if it was airport, Spain, airport, Germany, airport, whatever that might work. But then still the same house probably and my retard wife would want to go with me.

Edit. I didn't take a pay cut for it. I still make 5 sink money

The other factor is. Is it is the company is putting you up in the airport Marriott in Munich while you cram 18 hour days or the Ritz Carleton city center where you do 4 hour days? I don't trust American corps enough to take the chance because of travel budgets and shit like that.

my friends does it as an engineer tho. they rarely ever have standups and just go by push/pull metrics, so he can work whenever he wants so long as he meets his obligations. he goes all over the world for prolonged periods of time, the work is easy as shit for him too and pays a lot. me? i'm a container of coffee type of fella.
