I watched it yesterday. Outside of like 4 actors, everyone else was miscast. Erivo who plays Elphaba was awful, there were also some really odd character choices made with Elphaba that doesn't work. Every song performance was also a hell of a lot worse than the original Broadway cast, Erivo being the worst offender. Grande was the best one.

I mean, it's a great show with great music. There's a reason it's one of the biggest musicals of all time.

It’s the fact that he reviews the movie as if it had any possibility of being good.

The movie wasn't bad but it could have been a lot better. It's one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the year, I was a lot more negative on it than pretty much anyone else.

Maybe because my expectations weren't so high after having already seen it. If there's one thing to come out of all of this Wicked-mania, I hope it's that they finally release the recording they did of the original Broadway cast twenty years ago, I've been wanting that for forever.
