I am planning on retiring near Flathead Lake. I'm still a few decades away so I'm worried the demographic situation will shift by then. I'd move now if there was any sort of demand for my job, I'd even take a massive pay cut to do it.

Have you done any research of that area? It's crazy expensive (even south of the lake by the reservations).

You just described every city in America over 200,000 people. A lot of people talk positively about Texas but I feel like every city there is just chock-full of aids-riddled coons and dusty spics. No thanks - I'd rather live in the north.
Joe Rogan is singlehandedly accelerating the demise of Austin and then in a couple decades Couer D'Alene or something will be the next hotspot and niggers, beaners, hipsters, and all matters of faggocy will destroy Idaho as well.

People don't move to Montana for 3 reasons:
A) While remote work is flourishing and people are able to live where they want more now than ever, most remote workers are still middle class and below. Therefore they are more likely to end up in the Midwest for COL reasons.
B) Most of the trust fund wealth in the US is Jewish. Jews have limited capacity for appreciating beauty in the world as they thrive on subverting the true/good/beautiful, so generally speaking the Rockies is not for them. The limited Jews who do the Rocky Mountain thing tend to require more mild climates with sufficient retail activity, so Boulder, Aspen, etc. They don't tend to care about the trails or beauty, it's usually more about satisfying their neurotic pathologies in some way (cleaner air, legal weed, etc).
C) The good parts of Montana are effectively unlivable if you rely on the local job market. Local middle class earners tend to either live like absolute shit, or as is more often the case they inherited extremely valuable property from their parents. An addendum to that is a huge number of young people build a house on their parents property in Montana. It's very common to see two, three, four houses almost on top of each out and think wtf? It's families.

I remember after Hurricane Katrina that the Texas government moved 250,000 people to Houston and 50,000 of them were paid to become permanent residents. Crime exploded but the police departments worked to cover up the stats like crazy but it was obvious when you had these niggers wearing shirts with New Orleans restaurant logos on them dealing drugs and breaking into homes. No one in Houston wanted it but the governor and mayor didn't care.
